Job summary

Community Partners in Action (CPA) is hiring a Per Diem Assistant Chef for the REGIONS-Staff Secure Residential Treatment Program in Hartford, CT. The role supports serving approximately 200 meals daily in a youth-focused, DBT-informed setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of group meal prep experience, with CT food regulations knowledge. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience with food ordering and meal preparation in a group setting.
• Knowledge of CT food service regulations and health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef in planning and preparing approximately 200 healthy meals daily.
• Assist with inventory and preparing food orders as requested.
• Follow dietary guidelines as determined by licensed dietician.
• Maintain sanitation per agency specifications and Health Department standards.
• Monitor Fire Safety Standards per local/state law.
• Provide vocational training to youth on food service and safe handling procedures.
• Comply with all program policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain professional boundaries with staff and youth.
• Serve as a role model with pro-social behavior.
• Participate in all required training.
• Perform all other duties as required.
