Community Partners in Action, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Assistant Chef to support the REGIONS-Site Secure Residential Treatment Program for male youth in Hamden, CT.

The role involves planning and preparing roughly 200 meals daily, following health and safety standards, and helping with inventory and orders. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of CT food service regulations and DOH requirements.
• Certified Qualified Food Operator or eligibility to qualify.
• Ability to train staff in food prep and safety.
• Ability to interact with multi-cultural populations; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Chef in planning and preparing approximately 200 meals daily.
• Assist with inventory and food orders.
• Follow dietary guidelines as determined by licensed dietician.
• Maintain sanitation per agency specifications and Health Department.
• Monitor Fire Safety Standards per local/state law.
• Provide vocational training to youth on food service and safe handling procedures.
• Adhere to all program policies and professional boundaries.
