Cataldo Ambulance Service is seeking a Paramedic ALS Instructor Teaching Assistant to support laboratories, simulation, ACLS, PALS, and clinical education for students in the Paramedic Program. The role involves mentoring, evaluating, and guiding students to meet OEMS standards and state certification requirements.

The position emphasizes delivering high-quality student experiences, reviewing progress, and assisting with practical examinations under faculty direction in a per diem capacity.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Paramedic certification current: MA Paramedic, National Registry where applicable.
• 1+ year ALS level care experience in last 10 years.
• 1+ year of teaching assistant experience in ALS capacity.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with classroom presentations, laboratory instruction, and skills training.
• Demonstrate advanced paramedic psychomotor skills to EMS standards.
• Facilitate small-group learning, review sessions, and skills practice.
• Support simulation-based education, including patient scenarios and equipment setup.
• Provide remediation under faculty direction and help students prepare for exams.
