Job summary

Cataldo Ambulance is seeking a motivated Paramedic to join as an ALS Instructor Teaching Assistant in a Per Diem capacity at the Cataldo Education Center in Woburn, MA. You will support instructors in laboratories, simulations, ACLS, PALS and clinical education to help students meet EMS standards.

The role emphasizes mentorship, skill facilitation, and maintaining a professional learning environment while ensuring high-quality educational experiences for paramedic students.

Qualifications

• 1+ year ALS level care experience within the last 10 years.
• 1+ year of Teaching Assistant experience in ALS capacity.
• Experience with monitoring student progress and follow-up.
• Experience with education standards and CoAEMSP standards.
• Experience with computer systems and web-based applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with classroom presentations, labs, and hands-on skills training.
• Demonstrate advanced paramedic skills according to EMS standards.
• Facilitate small-group learning and review sessions.
• Support simulation-based education and patient scenarios.
• Provide feedback during laboratory activities and evaluations.
• Document student participation and skills completion as directed.
