The role involves per diem, 8-hour day shifts in the acute care department, with a minimum of two weekend shifts monthly, and a focus on effective communication, cognitive and swallowing impairment therapy.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology Licensure required.
• Licensed Speech Language Pathologist - MN and WI required if practicing in respective states.
• BLS certification required (one of options) before hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapy to patients.
• Assesses each patient and provides reassessments.
• Gathers data from patient history and tests to inform treatment.
• Makes clinical judgments and generates a therapy diagnosis.
• Coordinates, documents and bills per standards.
• Promotes rehab services and patient/physician satisfaction.
• Supervises the program and oversees care plan.
• Maintains daily patient schedule and clinic flow.
