Job summary

Kindred Hospital Paramount ARU, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for its Acute Rehabilitation Unit. The per diem role involves evaluating and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders to support patient recovery and communication improvement.

Responsibilities include assessing abilities, creating and implementing treatment plans, educating patients and families, documenting progress, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and clinical judgement are required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active SLP license are required.
• ASHA certification and CPR certification are preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
