Job summary

Alhambra Healthcare & Wellness Centre in California seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care in the therapy department, focusing on speech, language, cognition, and swallowing. Qualifications

• Knowledge in Speech-Language Pathology evaluation and treatment as they relate to medically based speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides. Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of staff and patients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities within each patient’s functional limitations.
• Evaluates and treats patients and documents services in the medical records.
• Communicates with families, physicians and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Supervises Clinical Fellow and other SLPs in direct patient care and patient-related activities.
• Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and billing requirements.
