Job summary

Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Coremaker Pepset Operator.

The role requires experience in foundry environments, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and on-the-job training to achieve position-specific certification. You will work with core making processes and maintain safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience in foundry manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs as part of the job.
• On-the-job training provided until certification is achieved.

Responsibilities

• Accurate scanning in and out of jobs and proper reporting of processed quantities.
• Wear appropriate safety equipment; keep work area clean and safe at all times.
• Understand customer requirements, internal scrap challenges, rework, and ensure quality workmanship.
• Review and inspect all material used; build self-inspection into every step.
• Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information.
• Perform tasks efficiently according to standards and maintain tools and equipment.
