DescriptionOVERVIEW:
A&M's Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice works with private equity-held portfolio companies, providing solutions to preserve and generate value. Our goal is to enhance transparency, support increasing cash flow and EBITDA, and involve ourselves directly in clients' operations. We assist PE firms in ensuring their portfolio companies have credible plans and the ability to execute and deliver financial outcomes.

PEPI CFO Services Director, Digital Finance:
PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Expertise in Digital Finance Transformation and proven implementation experience
- Proven track record in assessing finance and accounting functions, implementing digital technologies like RPA, Finance Analytics, NLG, and Predictive Forecasting models to improve efficiency and transparency
- Experience in finance & accounting process improvement and automation
- Knowledge of digital finance tools and vendors
- Experience implementing digital finance tools in large public companies or mid-sized PE-owned portfolio companies
- Expertise in building predictive forecasting models
Hypothesis / Scope Development:
- Engage with clients to gather information
- Facilitate client interviews and ensure comprehensive data collection
- Define analysis scope to test assumptions, ensuring timely and accurate execution
- Apply industry and functional knowledge to identify business drivers and issues
- Develop analytical frameworks within project parameters
- Derive actionable conclusions from analyses
- Manage and lead project components and smaller projects independently
- Proactively manage client expectations, risks, and develop contingency plans
- Create actionable plans and lead workstreams independently
- Design initiatives for cash flow, EBITDA improvement, and organizational efficiency to enhance client value
- Anticipate risks early, communicate with clients, and develop contingency strategies
- Collaborate with senior management to obtain buy-in on plans
Leadership:
- Leverage industry expertise and prior professional services experience to guide teams and foster innovative thinking
- Manage client relationships throughout projects
- Take accountability for client and team issues
- Build effective teams utilizing individual talents
- Financial acumen, including proficiency in financial modeling, statement analysis, and accounting treatments
- Drive P&L and B/S accountability
- Utilize tools for change management
- Interpret financial statements and streamline processes
- Experience in controllership, finance, and accounting advisory services
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields preferred but not required
- Experience with digital finance technologies (RPA, predictive forecasting, analytics, NLG, data visualization)
- Over 12 years of experience in accounting, finance, due diligence, restructuring, investment banking, or private equity
- Proficiency in financial models, data analytics, and presentation skills
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or Master's degree preferred but not required
