PEPI - CFO Services - Director (Financial Reporting Advisory)

Overview

A&M CFO Services collaborates with private equity-held portfolio companies, providing solutions to preserve and generate value. Our goal is to enhance transparency by offering accounting and financial reporting advice on various transactions, including compliance with new or revised standards and managing financial reporting processes effectively.

Focus Areas - Financial Reporting Advisory:

• Maintain current knowledge of US GAAP, understand accounting changes, and advise clients on complex guidance application
• Prepare and review financial reports pre- and post-deal to meet regulatory requirements without disrupting business operations
• Investigate and resolve EBITDA volatility, unexpected results, or unreconciled accounts
• Assist clients with IPO readiness, SEC reporting, and audit support
• Manage disputes related to working capital to achieve favorable outcomes

Professional Expectations

Data Collection, Validation, and Analysis

• Guide team on information gathering, ensuring comprehensive data collection
• Lead client interviews, ask insightful questions, and understand stakeholder perspectives
• Identify knowledge gaps, challenge assumptions, and develop better insights
• Assess business challenges, forecast liquidity needs, and identify process inefficiencies
• Present issues and opportunities clearly and concisely
• Understand accounting and finance processes and how information consolidates into the general ledger

Project Management and Implementation

• Own and complete workstreams aligned with CFO services pillars
• Ensure project timelines and deliverables are realistic and well-communicated
• Set and manage client expectations
• Develop actionable initiatives to optimize working capital and improve transparency
• Identify risks early, create contingency plans, and communicate proactively
• Recognize when service pillars are not functioning effectively

Leadership

• Leverage experience to guide and motivate teams to innovate
• Assess team skills and maximize contributions
• Share knowledge and coach team members

Financial Acumen

• Build and review financial models, analyze data, and evaluate accounting treatments
• Provide insights and improvement strategies to senior management and boards

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 10-15+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and industry
• CPA certification highly preferred

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $150,000-$225,000 annually, depending on education, experience, skills, and location. A discretionary bonus is also offered based on individual and firm performance.
