Job Description

Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for an extra duty Pep Band Director position at Willamette High School. The start date for this position is August 31, 2026.

The Band Director will be responsible for the following:

  • Work closely with Athletic Programs
  • Provide regular communication with parents/families/school personnel
  • Regularly track the academic progress of all students in the program and facilitate necessary supports to ensure their academic eligibility

The Band Director reports directly to the Athletic Director and Principal and/or their designee.

All extra duty staff recommended for hire must complete the following prior to employment:

  • NFHS Coaching Fundamentals Certification (nfhslearn.com )
  • Completion of Safe Schools Coursework (annually) and other Bethel School District Requirements
  • Fingerprinting/Criminal Background Check
  • Completion of NFHS Concussion in Sports Certification (annually) (nfhslearn.com )
  • Completion of OSAA Steroid Prevention Course (every four years)
  • Completion of NFHS Heat Acclimatization and Heat Illness Prevention (every two years)(nfhslearn.com )
  • Completion of NFHS Engaging Effectively With Parents (nfhslearn.com )
  • Completion of NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment (nfhslearn.com )

Upon offer of employment applicants must obtain a fingerprint clearance from the Oregon Department of Education through a process authorized by the Bethel School District. Applicants would be responsible for the one-time fingerprint clearance fee.
