Senior Supply Chain Systems Analyst (Healthcare Supply Chain & Clinical Integration)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supply Chain Systems & Process Management
- Support and optimize PeopleSoft Supply Chain applications, including item management, purchasing, inventory, and related business processes.
- Analyze existing workflows and recommend improvements to increase operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for item master management, product attributes, and supply chain data governance.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance, Clinical Operations, and IT teams to identify and resolve system and process issues.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to support operational decision‑making.
Clinical Supply Chain Integration
- Partner with clinical departments to support physician preference card optimization and standardization efforts.
- Evaluate product utilization, item substitutions, and clinical supply requirements.
- Ensure alignment between clinical workflow requirements and supply chain system configuration.
- Facilitate communication between clinicians, supply chain personnel, and technology teams during implementations and optimization initiatives.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Utilize advanced Excel and analytical tools to perform data analysis, forecasting, trend identification, and operational reporting.
- Analyze inventory utilization, purchasing patterns, contract compliance, and product standardization opportunities.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership to support strategic and operational decision‑making.
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across supply chain systems.
Project Management & Implementation
- Lead or participate in supply chain and clinical systems implementation projects.
- Gather business requirements, document workflows, and coordinate testing activities.
- Develop project plans, monitor milestones, and track project deliverables.
- Coordinate system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations across departments.
- Provide project status updates and communicate risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
- Support supply chain technology integrations with external partners such as GHX, Premier, and other group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
- Maintain knowledge of product attributes, contract pricing, and vendor data requirements.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies, system enhancements, and process improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare related field, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
- 5+ years of healthcare supply chain, healthcare information systems, or related business analyst experience.
- Hands‑on experience with PeopleSoft Supply Chain applications and processes.
- Experience supporting clinical and operational stakeholders within a healthcare environment.
- Experience leading or supporting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and data analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare supply chain operations and materials management.
- Understanding of physician preference cards and clinical product utilization processes.
- Knowledge of GHX, Premier, GPO contracting structures, and healthcare product data management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP modernization or supply chain transformation initiatives.
- Experience with healthcare analytics, reporting tools, or business intelligence platforms.
- Knowledge of item master governance and product standardization practices.
- Prior experience within an integrated healthcare delivery network or academic medical center.
