Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead daily inventory operations in a healthcare context. You will manage ordering, receiving, stocking, replenishment, distribution, and PAR level setting, ensuring product availability and cost-efficiency.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with clinical and procurement teams, and drive process improvements using metrics to reduce costs while maintaining patient care standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in supply management, preferably healthcare, with supervisory experience.
  • OR a High School Diploma plus 8 years in supply management, with 2+ years in supervision.
  • Knowledge of medical supplies and inventory control is required.
  • Legal authority to work in the United States on day one.
  • Pre-employment screening including background, drug testing, and education verification.
  • Ability to perform Medium Work; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently.
  • Strong skills in inventory control, PAR levels, and cycle counts.

  • Lead and supervise staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Coordinate with vendors and departments to resolve supply and logistical issues and maintain availability.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost containment using metrics.

Job description

  • Manage daily supply chain and inventory operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, replenishment, distribution, and stock-supply management
  • Establish and maintain inventory and PAR levels based on utilization, operational needs, lead times, and other relevant factors
  • Monitor and improve inventory accuracy, product utilization, stock rotation, expiration management, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes
  • Partner with clinical and operational leaders to evaluate supply needs and coordinate non-standard product requests
  • Support product standardization and identify cost-effective, contract-compliant alternatives without compromising patient care
  • Lead and supervise assigned staff, including hiring, training, performance management, scheduling, coaching, and addressing performance or operational concerns
  • Coordinate with vendors, purchasing, clinical departments, and stakeholders to resolve supply and logistical issues and maintain product availability
  • Identify and implement operational improvement and cost-containment opportunities using process, utilization, inventory, service-level, and supply-chain performance metrics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years' experience in supply management, preferably healthcare related, including a minimum two years in a supervisory capacity; OR High School Diploma plus 8 years of experience in supply management, preferably healthcare related, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity
  • Knowledge of medical supplies and inventory control is required
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Position is subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
  • Ability to perform Medium Work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of assigned work
  • Ability to perform required physical activities, including standing, talking, walking, crawling, crouching, stooping, and sitting
