Job summary

Target is seeking a Human Resources Expert to help store teams recruit, schedule, and engage guests and team members. The role emphasizes employment law knowledge, HR systems usage, and delivering an exceptional guest experience while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will partner with store leadership to anticipate talent needs, lead recruiting efforts, and support training. This full-time, in-store role offers competitive benefits within Target's inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments.
• Greet guests at 10ft with a friendly interaction.
• Greet guests at 4ft with a warm, helpful interaction.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience.
• Work with HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs for each area of the business; ensure the right mix of experience and skills.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders hire candidates.
• Support team member and leader training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices.
• Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed.
• Deliver on HR processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption.
• Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• All other duties based on business needs.
