Job summary

Target is hiring a Human Resources Expert to help store teams succeed. You will drive recruitment, training and scheduling processes, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.

This role supports a diverse guest-focused experience in a fast-paced store environment. You will partner with store leaders to address talent needs, manage scheduling systems and payroll practices, and promote Target's benefits programs and well-being initiatives.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a fast‑paced retail environment.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds and stay mobile during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience.
• Greet guests at 10ft and 4ft levels and initiate helpful interactions.
• Help guests find what they need and resolve issues for a smooth shopping experience.
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you.
• Support team members and leaders, collaborating across areas as needed.
• Lead focused recruiting efforts to hire candidates for store leadership and teams.
• Support team member training and be an advocate for continuous learning.
• Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and payroll practices.
• Deliver HR processes to maximize engagement and minimize disruption.
