Job summary

Special’s People and Talent Operations Manager will own recruiting, onboarding, and the smooth integration of acquired businesses onto shared systems. You’ll source candidates, run initial screens, coordinate offers, and ensure new hires have the tools and access they need from day one, while migrating teams to Rippling and standardizing processes across the group.

This hands-on role blends recruiting and people operations with about 50% focus on recruiting and 50% on operations as the company

Qualifications

• Approximately five years of experience in people operations, recruiting, or a blended role.
• Experience sourcing candidates and conducting initial screens.
• Hands-on experience with Rippling or similar HR/payroll platforms.
• Strong organization and follow-through across multiple searches and onboarding timelines.
• Clear communication and discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Build our talent pipeline by sourcing and engaging candidates across Figure Health and Special.
• Run the top of the recruiting funnel: screen candidates, coordinate interviews, maintain records.
• Coordinate offers: prepare and send letters, manage signatures, guide transitions.
• Own employee onboarding: set up in Rippling, coordinate tool access, deliver welcoming experience.
• Support acquisition integration: migrate employee data and payroll onto Rippling.
• Keep people records organized, handle benefits enrollment, respond to routine questions.
• Create repeatable processes: checklists, templates, and workflows for hiring and acquisitions.
