Job summary

Corporate Office - Lodi is seeking a People & Risk Business Partner to blend strategic HR partnering with hands-on risk management across workers' compensation, general liability, property, and safety. You will advise leaders, investigate incidents, and drive workforce strategy while owning claim resolution and compliance across the territory.

You will travel roughly half the time, partnering with store operations to implement risk-reduction programs and talent plans, and supporting recruiting,

Qualifications

• Experience with workers' compensation claims administration and related laws.
• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employee relations, and labor regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Partner with company and store-level management to identify HR, safety, and risk needs and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations to implement HR, safety, and risk goals set by leadership.
• Develop strategies to improve leadership-employee relationships across the organization.
• Plan and deliver training to reduce injuries, security issues, property damage, and risk.
• Conduct development meetings with managers to align on goals and performance.
• Lead Employee Relations investigations and coordinate with store ops on incidents.
• Assist in candidate screening and interviewing to meet leadership goals.
• Oversee talent and learning strategy: succession planning, coaching, and performance management.
• Manage workers' comp, general liability, and property claims processes and filings.
• Liaise with injured workers, management, claims admins, and legal counsel on claims status.
• Prepare and file Cal/OSHA 300 reports and respond to inspections or requests.
• Stay current on HR and risk trends to develop compliant solutions.
• Ensure understanding of employment and safety laws to stay compliant.
• Assist Operations in maintaining safety guidelines and procedures.
• Gain proficiency with security systems (cameras, alarms, apps).
• Maintain confidential records and communicate policies clearly.
