Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks an Employee Relations Partner to advise leaders and employees on relations matters and to improve policies and processes.

You will collaborate with legal, compliance and People teams to address staffing issues and ensure lawful, fair practices. The role requires strong investigative skills, knowledge of EEO laws, and a track record of influencing positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field; five years HR Employee Relations/Consulting experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum five years HR experience with at least 3 years handling employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws, EEO and related regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
• PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and guidance to leaders and employees on employee relations matters.
• Act as initial contact for intake and assessment of employee issues.
• Maintain knowledge of employment laws, EEOC, and HR policies.
• Ensure uniform application of HR policies; review disciplinary actions for factual accuracy.
• Conduct workplace investigations related to harassment and other issues.
• Coach leaders to improve engagement and retention; partner with leadership.
