Job summary

Mark-Taylor is seeking a People Relations Manager for our Scottsdale corporate office. This role leads employee relations and workplace investigations across Arizona communities, partnering with leaders to drive fair, compliant outcomes.

You will bring 7+ years in progressive HR, with at least 4 years in employee relations, plus 2+ years supervising HR staff. Arizona employment law knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) are a plus; investigations training preferred.
  • 7+ years progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in employee relations and investigations.
  • 2+ years supervising or leading HR team members.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and Arizona employment laws, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA.
  • Proven ability to conduct objective investigations and make defensible recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to advise leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead employee relations and workplace investigations across communities.
  • Advise leaders on compliant, defensible outcomes and policy interpretation.
  • Oversee and document investigations with integrity and discretion.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on strategic workforce solutions.
  • Travel across the Valley up to 80% with time at Scottsdale corporate office.

Requirements

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including intermediate Excel knowledge. Experience with an HRIS (Paylocity preferred) is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to communities across the Valley up to 80% of the time, with the remaining time spent at Mark-Taylor's corporate office in Scottsdale.
