Job summary

Brex Inc. is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner in Seattle to drive manager capability and performance standards across the company. You will coach managers, conduct end-to-end investigations, and oversee promotion calibration processes in a hybrid office setting.

This role emphasizes process discipline, strong relationships with managers, and opportunities to grow into broader People Leadership roles within Brex.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of HR experience in high-growth environments.
• Experience running employee investigations end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience supporting or executing employee terminations.
• Strong knowledge of performance management, calibration, and documentation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with managers and influence outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
• Discretion with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with frontline managers to ensure fair performance management across teams.
• Coach managers to set expectations and deliver effective feedback.
• Serve as first point of contact on performance-related cases and processes.
• Develop resources like coaching templates and toolkits to strengthen manager effectiveness.
• Run and document investigations end-to-end and escalate risks as needed.
• Provide guidance on terminations and ensure consistency.
• Coordinate promotions and calibration check-ins across teams.
• Collaborate with People Partners on RTO audits.
