Job summary

Brex is hiring an Employee Relations Business Partner in Seattle, operating in a hybrid model with in-office and remote work. You will coach managers on performance management, run investigations end-to-end, and support promotions and calibration cycles.

The role emphasizes process discipline and building scalablePeople processes. Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of HR experience in fast‑growing environments, strong communication, and the ability to influence leaders while maintaining discretion

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of HR experience in high-growth organizations.
• Experience running employee investigations end-to-end, including documentation and recommendations.
• Experience supporting or executing employee terminations.
• Strong understanding of performance management practices in high-performance cultures.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with managers and influence outcomes.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Discretion with sensitive information and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with frontline managers to ensure consistent performance management.
• Coach managers to set expectations, give effective feedback, and act on outcomes.
• Serve as first point of contact for manager questions on cases and processes.
• Develop resources like coaching templates and training to strengthen manager effectiveness.
• Run and document investigations end-to-end, surfacing themes and risks.
• Provide guidance on employee terminations with consistency.
• Own logistics for promotion and performance calibration cycles.
• Collaborate with People Partners on RTO audits.
