Job summary

Brex is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner based in San Francisco. You will develop manager capability, drive consistent performance management, and run employee investigations end-to-end while supporting terminations as needed.

The role is hybrid, with in-office days and remote work options, and collaborates closely with the People team to sustain Brex’s high-performance culture. You’ll coach managers, advance calibration for promotions, and help ensure respectful, data-driven

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in HR in high-growth environments.
• Experience running employee investigations end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience supporting or executing employee terminations.
• Strong understanding of performance management in high-performance cultures.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships with managers.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Discretion and sound judgment handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with front-line managers to ensure consistent performance management.
• Coach managers to set expectations and deliver actionable feedback.
• Serve as first point of contact for manager questions on cases.
• Develop resources like coaching templates and training.
• Run employee investigations end-to-end and surface risks.
• Provide guidance on terminations with consistency.
• Manage promotion and calibration check-ins.
• Collaborate on RTO audits with People Partners.
