Job summary

Distyl AI, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator / People Operations generalist to scale our hiring engine and employee experience.

You will own interview logistics, candidate experience, onboarding, benefits coordination, and core HR administration in a hybrid setup. Collaborate with recruiters, hiring managers, and the People team, and leverage AI tools to accelerate scheduling, onboarding, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Recruiting Coordination, People Operations, HR Coordination, or similar roles, ideally at a startup or tech company.
• Strong ownership with internship experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Own interview scheduling and logistics across multiple concurrent searches for technical and non-technical roles.
• Act as primary candidate point of contact with a warm, informative tone.
• Coordinate availability across candidates, interviewers, hiring managers, and leadership (onsite and virtual).
• Flag scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks to avoid delays.
• Maintain candidate data and pipeline hygiene in Ashby and support offer logistics.
• Own end-to-end onboarding, including background checks, paperwork, I-9, and travel arrangements.
• Coordinate benefits administration and answer benefits questions.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and employee records.
• Assist with employment documentation and status changes in partnership with People team.
• Support lifecycle processes (leaves, role changes, offboarding) and team events.
