Job summary

Specialty Tapes in Wisconsin is seeking a detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to administer payroll, commissions, benefits, and HR records. You will liaise with HR, Finance, managers, and vendors to keep data accurate and address questions promptly.

You will also support fleet management, recruiting, and invoice reconciliation, helping employees navigate everyday needs and ensuring compliance across the HR function.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in HR operations, payroll, or benefits administration.
• Strong numerical accuracy and Excel skills.
• Ability to meet recurring deadlines, document work, and follow through to resolution.
• Clear communication and discreet handling of confidential information.
• Experience with commissions, fleet administration, or 401(k) support is a plus.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate regular payroll by reviewing time records, pay changes, deductions, and adjustments; obtain approvals before submission.
• Prepare and reconcile commission calculations with Sales and Finance to resolve exceptions before payment.
• Maintain compensation records, commission statements, and supporting documentation; respond to pay questions.
• Track payroll and commission deadlines and escalate unresolved issues to HR leadership.
• Maintain accurate HR files, system records, and confidential documentation.
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, open enrollment, and routine inquiries; liaise with providers.
• Reconcile enrollment records and payroll deductions with carrier data; investigate discrepancies.
• Support 401(k) contributions and loan reconciliation; coordinate with Finance and plan administrator.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for fleet vendors; manage vehicle assignments and records.
• Review fleet costs and vendor charges; ensure policy adherence and timely renewals.
• Post and update job openings; coordinate interviews and approved screening steps.
• Review invoices against contracts; resolve discrepancies with vendors and Finance.
