Job summary

Mesabi Metallics is seeking an HR & Recruiting Coordinator to support the company’s growing workforce and day-to-day Human Resources operations. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this role will handle recruiting, sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, onboarding, and HR administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in HR/Business and 1–3 years of recruiting or HR experience, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 1–3 years of recruiting, human resources, administrative support, or related field experience
• Recruiting or talent acquisition experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel)
• Experience with ATS/HRIS preferred
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruiting activities across the organization
• Source qualified candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and networks
• Conduct initial candidate screens and evaluate against requirements
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
• Maintain accurate candidate information and recruiting records in the ATS
• Assist with developing and updating job descriptions and postings
• Assist with onboarding and pre-employment requirements
• Respond to routine HR inquiries and escalate complex matters to CHRO
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation
• Support HR policies, procedures, and programs
• Assist with HR reporting, data entry, and communications
• Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects
• Collaborate with senior HR leadership on special projects
