Job summary

Keel is seeking a People Business Partner I to support manufacturing and operations teams with onboarding, HR coordination, data integrity in HRIS/ERP, and day-to-day team member support. Reporting to the Director of People Operations, you’ll help apply policies consistently and assist in audits in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will collaborate with plant leadership on performance management, compensation programs, and employee relations while maintaining data accuracy and supporting leave

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of HR or People Operations experience, preferably in manufacturing/industrial environments.
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
• Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews
• Experience working with people data or HR systems
• Experience partnering with plant/operations leadership
• Experience supporting multi-site hourly and salaried workforces
• Knowledge of employment law, compliance, and employee relations
• Willingness to travel occasionally between sites in region

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing and operations leadership by aligning people processes with day-to-day workforce needs.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining people policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and assist with audits and regulatory documentation.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and support internal and external audits.
• Support performance management processes, including coaching leaders on feedback, documentation, and corrective action.
• Assist with compensation programs, merit cycles, job evaluations, and incentive plans with partners across Finance and People Team.
• Assist with employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution with thorough documentation.
• Maintain data integrity across HRIS and ERP systems and support reporting and audits.
• Support leave administration (FMLA, ADA, military leave) and workers compensation
• Support employee engagement, culture, and retention initiatives
• Analyze turnover, absenteeism, performance, and engagement to drive improvement
• Own onboarding process from pre-hire through orientation and integration
• Provide backup support to regional facilities as needed
