Job summary

BranchLab is seeking a People Operations Manager to enhance the day-to-day experience of working at BranchLab, with responsibilities spanning onboarding, payroll coordination, and a focus on employee experience in Boulder and New York City.

You will partner with Finance & People leadership to implement efficient processes, manage benefits and HR systems, and ensure smooth operations across locations. This hands-on role offers visible impact and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding. Design and put checklists and workflows into practice so paperwork, system access, orientation, manager handoffs, and departures happen reliably. Follow up with new hires to catch issues early.
• Prepare and review payroll inputs with Finance and our PEO. Run open enrollment and day-to-day benefits and 401(k) administration, working with providers to resolve employee issues.
• Be a reliable first stop for employee questions. Resolve what you can, bring in the right person when needed, and use recurring questions and feedback to improve the experience.
• Coordinate performance review cycles, including timelines, communications, and manager follow-through.
