Job summary

BranchLab in Boulder, CO, and New York City, NY is seeking a hands-on People Operations Manager to enhance the day-to-day experience of working at BranchLab. You’ll ensure smooth onboarding, clear processes, and well-run workplaces across locations.

You’ll partner with Finance & People leadership on policy decisions and translate context into practical actions, building onboarding processes and improving recurring employee issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in People, workplace, business, or another hands-on operations role.
• Strong project management and ability to carry projects through to completion.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Track record of improving a process or experience.
• Care for employee experience and clear communication with confidential information.
• Willingness to manage workplace operations including vendors and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own onboarding and offboarding with checklists and workflows to ensure reliable paperwork, system access, orientation, and handoffs.
• Prepare and review payroll inputs with Finance and our PEO; run open enrollment and day-to-day benefits administration.
• Be the first point of contact for employee questions and improve the experience using recurring feedback.
• Coordinate performance review cycles, including timelines, communications, and manager follow-through.
