Job summary

Economic Security Project is seeking a skilled Senior Manager of Human Resources and People Operations to translate our values into a best-in-class staff experience. Reporting to the VP of People, Finance, and Operations, you will oversee HR systems, onboarding, compliance, and inclusive hiring to advance our mission.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution: you will manage recruitment, staff development, engagement, and DEI initiatives while keeping operations running

Qualifications

• Background in human resources, talent acquisition, or people operations.
• Proven track record of managing core HR operations, including end-to-end recruitment, compliance, and employee relations.
• Advanced project management capabilities across multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Experience supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within an organizational context.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for employee questions and issues; escalate as needed.
• Oversee onboarding/offboarding, ADP, and manager collaboration for onboarding plans.
• Manage benefits administration and compliance trainings.
• Lead HR communications and policy updates.
• Coordinate performance management and feedback cycles (e.g., Lattice).
• Design and execute staff engagement initiatives and leadership development programs.
