Job summary

Mixpanel is hiring a People Operations Manager to own the HR technology stack, transform processes, and partner with Payroll, IT, and Legal. You’ll scale operations, document workflows, and build simple, compliant systems that the organization trusts.

Qualifications

• Owned People Operations programs in a high-growth tech environment
• Served as functional owner/administrator for HR platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS)
• Built or contributed to a People technology roadmap
• Documented and redesigned HR processes across the lifecycle
• Influenced cross-functional partners to adopt new workflows
• Applied structured project management practices to multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Established data governance standards in HR systems
• Managed compliance programs (I-9/E-Verify, records retention, data privacy)
• Communicated clearly across levels with adaptable messaging

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations programs end-to-end — define scope, owners, milestones, risks, and success measures
• Serve as the primary functional owner for core People technology platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS), including configuration and upgrades
• Lead technology deployments, platform migrations, and module rollouts with cross-team coordination
• Research and benchmark HR technology trends to build a scalable People tech roadmap
• Apply AI and emerging tools to improve broader People Operations workflows
• Establish and enforce data governance standards across HR systems for accuracy and audit readiness
• Design and implement a tiered HR support model with clear ownership and service levels
• Map current and future-state workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to maximize automation
• Author and maintain SOPs and documentation across the function
• Own end-to-end compliance for high-risk programs (I-9/E-Verify, retention, access auditing)
• Monitor employment law and data privacy developments; translate changes into configurations
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors; lead escalations and accountability discussions
• Facilitate alignment among managers, HR leadership, and other stakeholders with clear communication
