Mixpanel in SF Bay Area is seeking a People Operations Manager to turn ambiguous challenges into clear plans and scalable actions. You’ll own the HR technology stack, lead process transformations across the employee lifecycle, and partner with Payroll, IT, Legal, and the broader People & Talent team to build simple, compliant systems.

In the first year, success means better-configured tools, documented processes, and a trusted data foundation.

Qualifications

• Owned People Operations programs in a high-growth tech environment.
• Functional owner for HR platforms (HRIS/ATS/LMS) with configuration and rollout experience.
• Built or contributed to a People tech roadmap and investment cases.
• Redesigned processes across the employee lifecycle to reduce manual work.
• Influenced Payroll, Finance, IT, and Legal to adopt new workflows.
• Applied structured project management with clear plans and milestones.
• Established data governance standards and compliance awareness.
• Communicated clearly with stakeholders from staff to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations programs end-to-end with defined scope and milestones.
• Own core People technology platforms including configuration and upgrades.
• Lead deployments, platform migrations, and module rollouts across teams.
• Benchmark HR tech trends and build a scalable People tech roadmap.
• Apply AI tools to improve operations and workflows across teams.
• Enforce data governance, audit readiness, and data quality across HR systems.
• Design and implement tiered HR support with clear SLAs.
• Map workflows across People, Payroll, Finance, and IT to maximize automation.
• Document SOPs and maintain a searchable knowledge base.
• Oversee compliance for high-risk programs (I-9/E-Verify, retention, access).
• Stay updated on employment law and data privacy for system configurations.
