Job summary

Watch Duty is seeking a People Operations Lead (IC) to drive the full operating surface of the People function in a fully remote, U.S.-based setting. The role reports to the SVP, People Operations and is a full-time, exempt position, offering a salary of $135,000–$165,000.

As the first dedicated hire in People Operations beyond the executive, you will build scalable processes, manage onboarding and offboarding, benefits, HRIS, records, and compliance while collaborating across teams to support

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive People Operations/HR generalist experience across onboarding, benefits, compliance, and process design.
Ability to design org-wide processes and execute hands-on operational work in a scaling, startup-like environment.
Experience with HRIS systems and support for a mixed workforce including contractors and volunteers.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day People Operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits, HRIS, and records management.
Serve as first point of contact for policies, benefits, and People matters.
Design systems and processes that scale across the organization with cross-functional impact.
Provide recruiting operations support and coordinate Greenhouse HRIS workflows.
Ensure compliance, confidentiality, and proper handling of employee relations.
