Job summary

Athlete To Athlete is hiring the first dedicated People Operations and Office Manager to own the employee lifecycle, payroll, and core People programs in Santa Monica. You will ensure smooth onboarding, accurate payroll, benefits administration with Insperity, and day-to-day operations that keep the office running as we grow.

Qualifications

• 4+ years across People Operations, HR, or business operations with hands-on ownership
• Direct experience running payroll; you have processed cycles yourself
• Working knowledge of California employment compliance, leave administration, wage-and-hour basics
• Discretion and judgment in handling compensation, performance issues, and sensitive information
• Clear writing and reliable follow-through for complex, multi-priority tasks

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle from offer letters to onboarding and offboarding
• Manage payroll processing semi-monthly and timekeeping in Insperity
• Coordinate office operations, vendors, and workplace safety programs
• Maintain payroll records and coordinate changes across employees and Insperity
• Set up new hires with desks, badges, parking, and equipment
• Track office expenses, contracts, and compliance
• Support recruiting coordination and employee communications
