Job summary

Bennie, a remote-first employee benefits services and technology firm headquartered in Stamford, CT, is hiring its first dedicated People Operations Generalist to enhance the employee experience. You will balance operational execution with high EQ, leveraging data, AI workflows, and a human-centric approach.

Reporting to the VP of People, you will scale programs, ensure data integrity, and drive HR processes across a multi-state remote workforce.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of equivalent practical experience in a multi-state, remote environment.
• Hands on experience managing modern HR tech stacks such as Rippling and Lattice.
• Comfortable using modern AI productivity tools (e.g. Gemini) to automate workflows and draft communications.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA) for a remote workforce.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and independent work能力 in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Own Employee Lifecycle & Onboarding Operations.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and lifecycle status changes.
• Document and update SOPs and employee handbooks across People Operations.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement automations and AI workflows.
• Support total rewards, policies, and wellness initiatives in a remote-first culture.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws across multi-state remote work.
• Foster internal culture initiatives and peer recognition programs.
