Job summary

The Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC is seeking a People Operations Generalist to support talent management, employee lifecycle programs, HRIS administration, and workforce reporting.

The role partners across the People Operations team to deliver service, maintain accurate data, and support organizational talent initiatives. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Ultimate Software, and Adobe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field; SHRM-CP or progress toward certification preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in People Operations or HR.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and HR analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support talent management, salary administration, and market pricing activities.
• Prepare vacancy, position management, and workforce reports for planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate onboarding, offer letters, orientation, and employee lifecycle activities in the HRIS.
• Maintain employee data, job codes, transfers, and compensation changes in HR systems.
• Create basic dashboards, reports, and analyses to support reporting needs.
