Job summary

InBody, located in Cerritos, CA, seeks an HR Generalist to manage the full people cycle across talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, and policies in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial culture. You will own payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, ATS, and performance systems, ensuring accurate records and compliance with multi-state CA laws.

This role reports to the Sr. HR Manager and requires 3+ years of HR experience, a bachelor’s in HR, and a hands-on, collaborative mindset to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in HR or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of work experience in an HR-related field, preferably as a generalist.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Administration experience in ATS, HRIS, and LMS.
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws (multi-state, including CA).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines for the team.
• Ability to analyze processes, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with job sites LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed.
• Commute to the office located in Cerritos, CA minimum 3 times per week.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
• Manage and administer HRIS, benefits, and payroll (BambooHR), applicant tracking system (JazzHR), and performance management system (15Five).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date people records, including organizational charts and sales territory/coverage maps.
• Cross-train on benefits and payroll administration, providing backup coverage for biweekly payroll processing as needed.
• Support recruitment efforts by managing job postings, screening talent, and coordinating a seamless interview experience.
• Lead the entire onboarding journey, including I-9 verification, orientation, training schedule coordination, and probationary reviews.
• Support employee visa and immigration processes, including preparing documentation and tracking status.
• Work with vendor partners for compliance reporting (AAP and VETS-4212).
• Oversee leave administration (FMLA and other state-specific leave types).
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and conflict resolution.
• Serve as a bridge for employee relations matters under Sr. HR Manager guidance.
• Plan and develop company events to foster connections in our hybrid environment.
