Job summary

GSI Service Group, Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Generalist in Boulder, CO to run the daily HR functions across the employee life cycle, including payroll, benefits, and leave while enforcing company policies.

This role supports recruiting, hiring, and termination processes and maintains electronic employee records in compliance with laws. The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or 5+ years of HR support experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and an ability to handle

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or at least five years of office experience supporting HR functions.
• HR Certification preferred.
• Understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations including AFFAIRS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job descriptions and offer letters.
• Coordinate pre-employment screening as required.
• Conduct new hire orientation including benefits enrollment and IT coordination.
• Maintain HRIS and Applicant Tracking System daily.
• Manage personnel paperwork for hires, terminations, performance reviews and status changes.
• Process termination paperwork including COBRA enrollment and final payroll.
• Maintain accurate employee files in compliance with regulations.
• Assist with legal compliance related to employment and record-keeping.
• Prepare responses to insurance claims and case documentation for investigations.
• Attend disciplinary meetings and assist HR with other duties as assigned.
