Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state/federal statutes and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
• Ability to present to groups of managers and the public.
• Ability to obtain accurate information and findings.
• Effective verbal and written communication; bilingual a plus.
• MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and ADP Workforce Now experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health benefits management and invoicing for plans.
• Coordinate open enrollment with ADP Benefits Specialist and brokers.
• Participate in interview teams and conduct interviews as needed.
• Conduct background check reviews and document findings.
• Assist orientations for new employees and acquisitions.
• Administer P&O plans and ensure legal compliance.
• Ensure consistent interpretation of P&O policies and audit compliance.
• Advise managers on personnel practices and employment laws.
• Handle employee relations counseling and investigations.
• Support disciplinary procedures and required paperwork.
• Help develop department goals, systems, and training needs.
• Monitor hourly employee performance evaluations.
• Participate in manager training and onboarding efforts.
• Respond to unemployment claims and support responses.
• Travel to northeast sites to meet managers and staff.
• Conduct trainings onsite as needed.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports.
• May assist as payroll backup.
• Maintain compliance with employment regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.
