Job summary

Salient Motion, Inc. designs, manufactures, and supports advanced motion control systems. We are building a dedicated People Ops function to scale operations, onboarding, compliance, HRIS, payroll, and benefits as we grow.

You will own recruiting operations, visa processing, culture, policy ownership, and onsite candidate experiences, with relocation flexibility and Hawthorne-based work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a People Ops, HR Generalist, or HR Coordinator role.
• ITAR-eligible (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) and onsite in Hawthorne.
• Rippling, Greenhouse, Juicebox or other HR/Recruiting tools experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across onboarding, payroll, compliance, and benefits.
• Familiarity with California and federal employment law.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end onboarding and Day 1 coordination.
• Administer HRIS, benefits, payroll support and data integrity.
• Ensure compliance: I-9, employment law, and ITAR documentation at offer.
• Coordinate visa and immigration with outside counsel.
• Support recruitment operations and interview logistics.
• Own culture, pulse surveys, and employee engagement.
• Publish and maintain job postings with ITAR and location language.
• Serve as the main onsite candidate host and logistics orchestrator.
• Maintain HR/Recruiting data hygiene in Greenhouse, Checkr, and related tooling.
• Manage offer workflow and DocuSign processing in Greenhouse.
