Job summary

Tribe is hiring a People Operations Generalist to own onboarding, offboarding, and the HRIS (Rippling) administration as the company scales. You will also build AI-native processes that simplify daily work and support benefits and cross-border employment across the US, Portugal, and Canada.

This role reports to the People Operations Lead and emphasizes ownership and rapid execution. You will lead system optimizations, drive compliant immigration processes, and help grow programs like performance

Qualifications

5+ years in people operations or HR operations, ideally at a scale‑up or fast‑growing company.
Experience owning and optimizing Rippling or a similar modern HRIS, including building automation.

Responsibilities

Own onboarding—circulation, background checks, device ordering, provisioning, and pre-start experience for a new cohort every two weeks.
Improve onboarding as cohort sizes grow, from pre-start communications to the first week and beyond.
Own and streamline offboarding to provide resources and clarity for departing employees.
Own and optimize Rippling configuration, workflows, integrations, and data integrity.
Build AI-native systems and automation to simplify daily work for the team.
Turn recurring manual tasks into documented, repeatable processes.
Support development and operation of people programs including performance reviews, leveling, and recognition.
Administer benefits and employment changes across US PEO and EOR employment in Portugal and Canada.
Run policy and compliance execution including immigration and work authorization across countries.
