Job summary

FIRE in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a proactive People Operations Coordinator to support recruiting, onboarding, development, and internal communications for our team and candidates. You will report to the Chief People Officer and collaborate with People Operations and Administrative staff on a variety of initiatives.

The role involves coordinating interviews, onboarding sessions, planning internal trainings, and contributing to employee engagement efforts.

Qualifications

Solid understanding of FIRE’s mission and the ability to articulate it to others.
Urgency, follow-through, and accountability in interacting with candidates and employees.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

Recruiting: maintain applicant tracking system, coordinate interview scheduling, assist with job postings and descriptions, interact with hiring managers, and support student recruitment as needed.
Learning and Development: assist with onboarding sessions and coordinate internal training events (Lunch and Learns, All Hands, Town Halls).
Employee Engagement & Internal Communications: support engagement initiatives, compile weekly digest, maintain org chart and staff directory, support internal site management, assist with All Hands decks.
Additional Admin Support: process payments/expense reports, assist Shopify operations, handle general inquiries, and back up the Philadelphia Office Services Manager.
