Job summary

CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles (El Segundo) is seeking a hands-on People Operations Coordinator to support day-to-day HR workflows, onboarding, benefits, and policy questions in a fast-growing startup.

You will maintain data in Rippling, assist with audits and dashboards, and help with onboarding/offboarding, leaves, and communications. This full-time onsite role requires 1-2 years HR experience and strong organization.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of HR experience in an assistant/coordinator role.
• Familiar with U.S. employment laws, especially California.
• Experience with onboarding, benefits administration, or compliance tracking.
• Proficient in HRIS systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as daily People inquiries contact.
• Maintain data across Rippling (HRIS, payroll, benefits).
• Prepare reports, audits, and dashboards for data accuracy.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes.
• Lead 2-day new hire orientation sessions.
• Assist benefits administration and vendor coordination.
• Track leaves, accommodations, and verifications.
• Support People Operations communications and surveys.
• Organize personnel files.
• Work full-time onsite in Los Angeles (El Segundo).
• Grow with the team as the People function scales.
