Job summary

Samsung SDI America Inc. in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an HR Generalist to support benefits, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy guidance and compliance.

The role collaborates with manufacturing teams, administers lifecycle events, supports payroll/timekeeping, maintains HRIS records, and drives communications and process improvements while upholding employment laws. 2–3 years of HR-generalist experience and a BS in HR are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in HRM or related discipline required.
• 2-3 years of Generalist HR experience required.
• Manufacturing/auto industry experience is a plus.
• Experience with HRIS; ADP Workforce is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Employment Law (federal/state/local).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Able to work proactively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support in benefits, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy guidance, and compliance.
• Assimilate new employees, assist with orientation and pre-hire setup.
• Act as a point of contact for employee relations and collaborate with HR to resolve issues.
• Administer life cycle events: benefits enrollment, performance reviews, leaves, unemployment claims.
• Maintain company-wide employee recognition and award processes.
• Partner with HR teams on workflows, processes, and projects.
