Job summary

Radiant in London is seeking a People Operations Specialist to manage the employee lifecycle and continuously improve HR automation. You will own the data and systems behind our People Ops stack (HiBob, Ashby, Notion) and translate multi-step processes into self-running workflows.

You'll drive onboarding, employee changes, and off-boarding, ensure UK/US compliance, liaise with payroll, and keep the employee handbook current as we scale.

• Experience building people systems in scaling companies.
• Worked in a high-growth environment, across geographies, with async collaboration.
• A practical, hands-on approach – building from scratch rather than inheriting a function.
• Strong judgement and a commercial mindset.
• The ability to influence managers and senior leaders through credibility, not authority.
• Comfort with ambiguity, pace, and a low-process environment.

Responsibilities

• Run the employee lifecycle end-to-end, with automation opportunities identified and implemented.
• Administer changes across systems, with validation rules, alerts, and review steps.
• Create and maintain SOPs, checklists, and playbooks for onboarding and offboarding.
• Own core HR operations from onboarding to termination and changes.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal policies across regions.
• Coordinate socials, offsites, and team rituals for a distributed team.
• Liaise with UK/US payroll providers for changes and new starters.
• Keep policies and the employee handbook up to date with regulatory changes.
• Translate feedback into concrete actions and journey initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day employee support on payroll, leave, benefits, and admin.
