Job summary

Performix in Ohio is seeking a people-oriented HR coordinator to partner with plant staff including Production Supervisors, Union Stewards, and hourly employees to drive engagement and deliver excellent service. You’ll manage confidential records, assist with onboarding, training, and maintain HR notices and metrics, while supporting payroll, benefits, and ethics programs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required or preferred).
• 1-2 years HR experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor degree in HR or related field preferred but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making.
• Customer service orientation and business-minded.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and processes confidential records including personnel files and employment data.
• Hands-on partnership with Production Supervisor and HR team to process production paperwork, track attendance disciplines, and research grievances and complaints.
• Regular check-ins with employees, for general engagement purposes.
• Report on HR metrics as needed.
• Support plant projects and events as needed with adherence to the plant’s collective bargaining agreement.
• HRIS, payroll, benefits, well-being and ethics support as needed.
