La La Land is seeking a People Generalist to support employees across the full employment lifecycle, handling on-boarding, data changes, payroll inquiries, and HR compliance. You will maintain records in Paylocity and assist with leave, workers’ compensation, and policy development.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and confidentiality, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic restaurant/hospitality environment.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of employment legislation and regulations including FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, ACA, COBRA.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills; ability to collect, research and resolve problems.
• Detail-oriented and diligent in all tasks assigned.
• Ability to make decisions with sound judgement and take initiative.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (HRIS) including ADP and Paylocity.

Aufgaben

• Acts as first point of contact for employee and managers questions on HR topics such as onboarding, data changes, pay concerns, HR policies and procedures, Paylocity, etc.
• Serve as a point of contact for workers’ compensation inquiries, support incident communication efforts, and assist in coordinating workers’ compensation claims and follow-up documentation.
• Process and administer leave of absence requests, including FMLA, CFRA, pregnancy disability leave, and other applicable leaves, ensuring appropriate documentation, tracking, and communication.
• Assist in addressing and resolving payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Listen to employee concerns and investigate as needed. Ensure issues are properly identified, documented and addressed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Paylocity and ensure HR documentation is organized, confidential, and compliant with recordkeeping requirements.
• Maintain HR compliance and prepare data for audits such as EEO, unemployment claims, verifications of employment, agency reporting, background checks, etc.
• Assist with performance management processes, including tracking review timelines, coordinating documentation, and supporting managers with performance improvement plans and corrective action documentation.
• Collaborate with Operations, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments to ensure consistent application of HR policies and effective resolution of employee concerns.
• Support various HR projects as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
