Job summary

Goodwill of the Great Plains in Mitchell, SD is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and management of a Goodwill retail store. You will perform cashier duties, handle donations, open/close the store, and complete related paperwork.

Qualifications

High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
At least two years of prior retail sales experience, with previous managerial experience preferred.
Must have reliable personal transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of personal vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

Take full store responsibility in the store manager’s absence and direct personnel to ensure accurate sales transactions and proper processing of donated goods.
Maintain store records in the absence of the store manager.
Keep the store adequately stocked and displayed professionally.
Provide high level customer service and price donated merchandise accurately.
Train and evaluate new retail employees and support the store manager in meetings and disciplinary actions.
Assist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner and support cashiers.
