Job summary

Potbelly is seeking an Assistant Manager in Green Bay to co-lead the shop, foster belonging, and drive teamwork in a fast-paced environment. You will train and develop staff, manage interviews, schedule, and uphold food safety standards while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of management experience in a restaurant or retail setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask and lead a team effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years management experience in restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer-first mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff and shift leaders.
• Experience scheduling and labor management.
• Food Safety knowledge and ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and develop Potbelly Associates and Shift Leaders.
• Effectively interview and recommend the hiring of Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Develop and maintain a Good Vibes culture that fosters strong attraction & retention.
• Effectively schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Update communication board with critical shop information.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings and ensure security and safety standards are followed.
