Job summary

Potbelly Corporate in Green Bay, WI is hiring a General Manager to lead our Potbelly shop, drive performance, and uphold the Potbelly culture. You will manage P&L, marketing, scheduling, and staff development to deliver excellent guest experiences.

You will meet food-safety requirements, lead a busy kitchen and dining area, and build strong teams while achieving labor and sales goals. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years as a General Manager in a restaurant or retail environment with P&L responsibility.
• Must meet state Food Safety requirements and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop all shop team members to realize their potential.
• Interview, select and hire great people who represent Potbelly values.
• Develop and maintain a positive culture that fosters attraction and retention.
• Effectively schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Drive local marketing to maximize sales and recruit externally when needed.
• Control costs, variances and inventories within the shop.
• Manage assigned P&L items and maintain labor goals.
• Spend 80-90% of time on the shop floor in the Front of the House.
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Handle customer complaints/issues and resolve conflicts.
