Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with merchandising, open/close procedures, and upholding company standards.

In this role you’ll guide store associates, ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, handle basic payroll/scheduling tasks, and respond to customer questions with professionalism and respect. A strong work ethic and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling and cash deposits and receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain stocked, clean store areas and organized stockroom according to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Keep the store clean, restock bathrooms, sweep/mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
• Other duties as assigned.
